The Reds transfer record might be broken today if they manage to capture Andy Carroll.

An offer of £30 Million has been reported to have been rejected by Newcastle for front man Andy Carrol. The Reds apparently are actively looking for  Anty Carrol for the team.

Liverpool have had a club-record bid for Newcastle striker Andy Carroll accepted by the north-east club.Liverpool made the announcement on their club website on January 31st 2011, after an earlier offer of £30million had been turned down by Newcastle club officials.

According to a statement placed on the NUFC website, Carroll handed in a transfer request later in the afternoon, at which point Newcastle “reluctantly accepted” an enhanced offer from Liverpool.

Andrew Thomas "Andy" Carroll (born 6 January 1989) is an English footballer who plays for Newcastle United and the England national team as a striker.
