RA.One is attributed to Shah Rukh's absence from cinemas after My Name Is Khan in February last year and the fact that it's one of this year's Diwali releases is RA.One. Analyst Komal Nahta of Film Information explains in a blog.

The King Khan plays a superhero in Anubhav Sinha's next RA.One and it seems like the role is rubbing off on him in real life too, the story line behind RA.One Explains.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha RA.One. With Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Tom Wu will be expected to release in diwali 2011.

Ra. One is a Bollywood Movie,  Ra.1  is an upcoming Hindi science-fiction superhero film directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film, which features Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, will be produced under Khan's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment.

According to Khan, "Ra.One" means "Random Access - Version 1.0". The film was scheduled to be released on 3 June 2011, but was later pushed back due to extensive post production work.
