Indian Ambassador Meera Shankar tapped down by an US agent

Ambassador Meera Shankar was in Mississippi last weekend to talk business trade. Janos Radvanyi, chair of Mississippi State University's international studies department, said Meera Shankar.


Indian Ambassador Meera Shankar to the US was dragged from an airport security line and tapped down by an American security agent in Mississippi in spite of being told of her diplomatic eminence.


Meera Shankar born on 9 October 1950 is India's Ambassador to the United States of America and India's second female ambassador to the United States of america.


Meera Shankar will also be the first serving diplomat to be posted in Washington in more than two decades after KShankar Bajpai
